What does network connections status tell you the signal strength is? A major cause of what you describe is distance from the router or obstructions between the router and the pci card. Or maybe it's just not plugged in tight. I gather the main computer does not have the same problem.

The only other thing I can think of is to type in at the address bar 192.168.1.1 just like that, no http etc. IF you're asked for a password, type in admin. Go the the time out line and make it larger. Hit apply or whatever it is, and it will tell you all was accepted, wait for new screen, status, and then try it all again.

BSides is right. I had to do the same thing some months ago. You will find the current firmware that you have in the router setup screen, and you may find the latest on their web site.

I have the same problem. Used to work fine. Why would the firmware 'suddenly' need to be updated.
