hello,
I recently set up a wireless connection using a linksys router. One computer uses a cat5 cable and the laptop uses wireless B. The network works great until I plug in the dsl modem. After I plug in the modem the wired computer can use the internet but the wireless cannot and I can no longer ping the router. When I unplug the modem the network works fine again. The DSL provider is MSN and the modem is an arescom modem. I talked to MSN and they said that it's the router, though I can't see how that's the problem since the network works fine until I plug in the DSL. I tried using a d-link router and it does the same thing, so it has to be the DSL modem, but I just wanted to see if there was some setting I missed or if something else was wrong. Like I said the wired computer works great and the wireless computer says that it has a connection to the network, and the router gives out an IP address to the wireless computer, but once I put the DSL line in I can't ping the router or get on the internet or network. Any help?

Open Internet explorer. enter 192.168.1.1 in the address bar. click on the basic set-up tab. The connection type shou;d be PPPoe with your ISP username and password. If not make is so and page down and save the changes. I had the same problem
