My Verizon wireless Sierra Aircard connection to the internet has been dying lately just minutes after I connect, right in the middle of trying to download my email, do an ftp upload, or just browse. I discovered that if I keep a huge video file downloading in KazaaLite, that keeps the connection open most of the time. Does this suggest to anyone a better way to keep the connection open? This method is working for now, but in the past there were times when KazaaLite seemed to slow my computer down too much, so I don't want to depend on it. Plus I wonder if I could get branded as a bandwidth hog.

I'm asking this here because my opinion of Verizon tech support is not very good.
