Hi
I just installed windows XP on my laptop and for some reason it is not recognizing that the laptop has a wiress card. I can't figure it out. When I go to windows help it tells me to go to Network Connections --> Network Tasks should have wireless network button. It doesn't. There is no such option, it mentions nothing about wiress or wifi. I don't know what to do. I know that windows xp is supposed to automatically find and configure the wireless card. Any Ideas?

Will only do this if appropriate drivers for the card are installed. Go into devicemanager and check that the wireless NIC is there. You may need to obtain drivers and instal them in order to get it working
I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.

When you do as Richard says - make sure the Network Card is Enabled in Device Manager
