Wireless Card and Router problems

OS: Windows XP Home Edition
CPU/Ram: PII 450Mhz

I have a belkin wireless G card for my laptop and a linksys WRT54G router. The belkin card recognizes he linksys network but doesnt connect to it. Under the status category it just says scanning. I have changed the SSID and the security settings, but that didnt work.

Make sure all of your IP address are matching. Are you sharing an internet connection or are you doing a peer to peer (AdHoc) network?
