Specs: Windows XP SP3
I have winxp sp3, legal version, automatic

From yesterday, whenever I press CTRL, my
default browser launches.

I had Chrome, I uninstalled it, but the story
goes on with IE. If the browser is
turned on, pressing ctrl opens home page.

Any ideas?

How can I assign a hot key(to a single button)?

I know about this: a hotkey = alt+ctrl+something.

and I found a AppKey key in registry, and tried to mess with
key 7(it is supposed to be WebHome). I tried
changing/deleting/settig it to ""... result:pressing ctrl still runs
the homepage of my browser.
