Is it or is it not impossible to boot WinXP Pro from an external Hard Drive via a USB cable, as I have read a numerous amount of posts and articles regarding this and some say that it is possible and some say that it is not possible; I have also tried several configurations for setup to make this work to no avail and the BIOS has all USB configurations enabled, however at the moment the external drive is not even detected? Thank you.

In setup screen, you can't see your usb hdd, but in boot sequance in advanced options you can select your usb drive as fisrt boot. And you can boot from your usb hard disk.
