Comment:

I have this ProLink usb modem that i'm trying to install. The problem is the com can't detect the modem when I just plug it in. Installation of the modem requires me to install the drivers first then the installation program will detect the modem. However, if I plug in the modem before WinXP starts up, the modem will be detected. If I remove and plug in after that, it cannpt be detected. Please help.

You should have a "Plug n Play aware OS" option in your BIOS, ensure it is enabled.

I don't suffer from insanity, I embrace it.
