anyone have any idea why my display properties/screensaver is incredibly slow to load. I currently have it set on "3dtext" and find it almost impossible to change. I keep getting rundll32.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. I have an AMD athlonXP 1800+ and an Nvidia Geforce4 Ti4200. 512 MB generic DDR /Leadtek M/board with Nforce chipset. any help would be great my machine is also free of viruses/trojans etc.

Poke through your Event Viewer logs to see if any errors have been logged, and also try updating or reinstalling your Internet Explorer (and make sure Windows is up-to-date)....
