Hi I'm running xp and at every winxp startup I get the user logon screen which never used to come up I only have one user account. This came about after installing a filesharing program Direct Connect which requires .NET Framework 1.1 and when
when system idles for about 30minutes it comes up with logon screen and saying that i'm logged on I then click on my user name and takes me back into xp

how do I get around this?

Take a look at the following:

Go to Start>Run, and key in the following:
control userpasswords2
Click OK.

XP displays the User Accounts dialogue box, with the Users page.

Click on the Advanced tab.

Click the Manage Passwords button to display the stored User Names and Passwords dialogue box.

Is there anything in there that may need removal?
