My computer wont boot from the HD. I have to have the XP CD in the drive. What gives? anyone have any ideas? I tired uninstalling and reinstalling. I even have a new hardrive now and no luck. I went into the bios and changed the boot sequence and still no luck. Any suggestions?
In the bios did you set it to boot from IDE 0 or some other IDE. Should be IDE 0.

In your BIOS (BOOT MENU) there is a field for IDE Hard Drive. Have you set it to boot from the right HDD?. I had a similar problem with an Abit IS7 board once and it was because the right HDD was not defined as the boot drive.
Check that you have the correct entry in this field.
