WinXP logs off continually

CPU/Ram: 1.4g, 256ram

XP continually logs off after selecting any one of the users that are set up. You select a user, then it logs off and loops back to that user screen. Bad ram? Virus?

Having any problems should be checked to see if they happen in Windows Safe-Mode-
A Description of the Safe Mode Boot Options in Windows XP
If no problems there, do System Restore.

Hello JonW,

I posted the same problem but i worded it differenty as no user logon, i may have to use the 6 XP floppies and reinstall XP.

Hope you get solution.
