CPU/Ram: P-IV , 1600 Mhz , 512 MB

Hi All,

Recently I had one Problem with my machine..
I had P-IV , 1600 Mhz with 512 MB Ram and WINXP OS .The Problem is when i see in task manager the System Kernal takes 100% CPU Utilization ( which is shown in Red graph )

Even i Closed all the Applications and Stoped all the services and also Restarted Still i am having the same problem ... System is Really slow ...

Anyone Plz Help me what to on XP ...

Here are a few services that indeed hog system resources that you should consider disabling...
system restore if you can live without it I do....
indexing [it was using 50% on mine}
workstation
nvidea helper

Also this will help a great deal..

Go to control panel/system/advanced/performance/settings

Change to "adjust for best performance" instead of letting windows do it...

If all else fails, after you fresh boot to windows and you have nothing open yet you can go to start/run/type this in

In the Run box, type "Rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks". This frees up any idle tasks running in the background so that Windows XP can devote its full attention to what you want it to do.

Or after awhile you start getting that same problem close all programs and windows and do as posted above for quick fix.

This 100%cpu usage is becoming a big problem and microsoft supposedly has a fix for it to be released in next patch.What they are waiting for I dont know....
