I need to logon to a domain. Can I upgrade to WinXP Pro over WinXP Home?

what do you mean ?? domain comes with server, if you need a domain you have to install the NT/2000 server

Daniel,
you can upgrade XP Home to Professional. Make sure you back up email settings etc or at least backup the profile as your new domain profile will inherit from default user and you will lose your settings from Home XP. Hope that helps.

Thanks! Now the hard one: Do I have to eat the $100 for XP Home or can I spend another $100 and get XP Pro? I'm asking M$ too.

Calvin, Thanks for the reply. WinXP Home does not let you logon to a Win2k domain. It just doesn't have that feature that every other Windows version had. So my user can't access some directories on the server.
