Well.. I have windows XP and... It keeps freezing up.
I've been trying to single this problem out but.. i can't figure it out.
I'd just be on the computer doing something and all of a sudden my computer will start going Very slow.. And then to the point where it won't let me minimize/close windows, forcing me to manually shutdown/restart my computer.
I've looked around.. CPU seems normal, even while it's freezing up. (never gets higher then 8%), and it doesn't seem there are any suspicious proccess's running.
At first i thought i had it figured out.. The first 5 times it froze up i was in AIM (aol instant messanger) and chatting.
But i was just playing the sims and it was fine until i tried to save my game. I went to "Save" and it froze up right away and i had to restart. I don't know, maybe that's something totally different.
Maybe it's AIM. But why? I've had AIM for a long time and this has only been happening for 2 days.
I've uninstalled/installed AIM 5.2, it still freezes.
The last time it started freezing, right away stopped AIM and firefox from running, But my computer still froze.. I couldn't click anything (When it freezes i'm able to move my mouse, Just not click/do anything.. If i CAN then it will probably go really slow)

Right now the only thing i have running is Mozilla and everythings fine.

No, Forget that... Right when i submitted that post my computer froze up and said the window was "not responding" then my computer restarted by itself, Haha.

I'm starting to think this is an internet connection problem.. Whenever i try to make certain connections..

:-O I remember on AIM people were IMing me, but my computer didn't start freezing until i Instant Messaged -them-
And my computer was fine and i was able to browse this site until i Submitted a post.

Does anyone know what's wrong here? :-/

PS. i can't play the sims anymore.. It freezes everytime i try to save..

Someone help meeeeee

You don't say anything about antivirus software...do you have any? Do you update your virus definitions? Do you do periodic full system scans for virus's?

If you do, just ignore this, but if you don't, consider it.

Argh, forget what i said..
My computer just randomly Freezes when it wants to.

When i think about it, 2 days ago i was chatting to a 21 year old geek hacker who does programming for some company, and i sort of pissed him off and he sent me some weird stuff. It looked like Some AIM punter. It kicked me off AIM a few times but everything was fine after he left. That was like a day before i noticed my Computer is screwed.

I use BullGuard, and the definitions are up to date. It didn't catch anything. :-/

Am i going to have to reformat?

..I'm going to try to ask what that guy sent me / did to my computer, cause now i think it's his fault. I doubt he'll talk to me / be friends again though. I pissed him off pretty bad that one day. :-/
