Comment: After installing a software (designed for win98) with a regional language font, the xp strt menu and desktop etc. are showing junk charecters. all menus under control panel also shows this. can I restore the old setting? please help.

Reply: (edit)uninstall the program and then reboot and see if it clears up. If not use system restore to restore your pc back to the day before you installed the program and that should take care of it. start>programs>accessories>system tools>system restore and then when you get the calendar just highlight the day before you installed the program.
