Hello,
Today I just got this problem of the blue screen of death. It says: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. Then it says dumping physical memory, I don't know the end of that because I never waited that long. with this error I cannot boot in to ANY place that I can actually do something to the system, (ie. normal mode, safe mode, last known configuration, etc.)
Going through safe mode, I found out that it is the MUP.sys file that's causing the stagnation. and I have looked through many websites and did a search for this and they usually said it's the USB/PCI problem, or the memory overheated, etc. (I did leave my computer on overnight to download a file, but I've done that before with other computers in longer periods and had no problem).
I have unplugged all my USB devices and unplugged a cdrom.
I have pretty much tried everything except to use the recover console which I am sure I can't get in and the method of unplugging all my PCI devices.I am very busy and I have important files saved up on the PC, if I cannot fix this problem soon, then it is going to be very detrimental to me. So if anyone would be kind to offer any advice of help, I'll be greatly gratified.
Thank youAndrew

Oh I would just like to ask that I have read in the forums here that you can check your physical memory/cpu/harddisk/hardware, etc.
Sure, it sounds good, but first HOW do I do it if I can't get into anything at all??
and I have messed with the Bios/CMD setup options, there are no hardware checks options.Andrew

Nevermind I fixed it, I had to remove my memeories and then I disabled then enabled the MuP file. now it works but it's not detecting one of the memories

I just had the same problem. My computer was left on for a week. When I started up again. I went into the same boot loop. I am going to remove the memory and reinstall. How did you disable and enable the MUP. files?

I've been experiencing long boot times too. Then I start thinking about my hardware setup. When I replaced my memory chips, I must have slighly unplugged the harddrive's IDE cable.
When putting things back, ensuring that the ide cables really stuck now, everything works again. Windows XP loads now in 20 seconds, instead of 3 minutes.
My advice, check the hardware!
