I had win98 in my computer, and installed XP full version to dual boot (by copying the setup files to hard drive via network. However, I can't boot into win98 any more [gave me hal.dll missing error, copied the file to system32 folder , now it gave me ntoskrnl.exe error, now it gives me load needed DLL error] Unfortunately, the USB floppy drive is unable to boot the laptop, so can't use a boot disk to sys a: either. How can I solve this problem? :(

holyniht,
You need do a repair of XP. You can do this without losing your data.
Boot from the Windows XP CD. At the first screen, hit ENTER (not R, you don’t want the Recovery Console).
The next screen will be the License Agreement, hit F8.
On the next screen is when you want to hit R to Repair.
