Did you switch the original RAM back to it's original slot??

And if so, try checking your BIOS settings and see what it's reporting...

Nothing to do with the RAM!

That sounds like you have changed the boot order in the bios. Your system is trying to boot from the NIC's boot rom first. Go into your bios and change the boot order to hdd0 or whatever as the first boot device.

Second. Diskette Drive (A:)
Third. USB device

try disabling all boot options except the ide for the dard disk and also get the bios to refind the hard disk then when you reboot you will only be looking at the 1 boot device, if it does not boot then possibles include 1. faulty hdd 2.ide controller or cable. 3. boot sector of disk etc

Your pc is trying to boot using a LAN device so you need to check that the HDD is ok as at the moment no other boot device is shown, your bios should have an auto detect option, use this to find HDD if this can't be detected then your prob lies with the IDE controller, cable or disk. if your bios deteccts the HDD but still wont boot then it could be boot sector or corupt os. by only having 1 device (HDD) to boot from you will then narrow down your prob. Hope this is clearer than before
