Hi all My home network is using Coaxial cables, There are 5 clients running Win98. Can I upgrade 1 of them to Winxp? I heard that Winxp dont recognise network adapters that use Coax cable. is this true? Thanks (:
I use a Dlink PCI DE528 RJ45/BNC Adapter in XP and it will connect using either cabling even thru a RJ45/BNC hub.
I would avoid ISA cards and use PCI, the type of cabling connected is auto detect at the NIC level and transparent to XP, actually my neighbour has a whole house networked this way using W2K.
