Reply: (edit)Paul_Earland, Trojan maybe? Be aware that a virus and a Trojan are similar, but not the same. Many times, an AV detects one it can't clean , other times, it gets missed entirely. If you need to clean one, Superantispyware can do the job and you can get it free @: http://www.superantispyware.com/ among other places. They have a Vista compatible version if needed. If it turns out that you need to use it, be sure to update prior to running. They just released a new update recently and it changes all the time. Things are in a constant state of flux. HTH. Reply: (edit)Try restarting the pc and entering safe mode by holding down the F8 key when the pc restarts. See if you can uninstall it then. If not, it may be require a spyware/virus scanner to remove it.

Reply: (edit)... hi Paul ... if you've tried to remove the trial prog by deleting some of its files, then tried removel via "control panel, add/Remove programs", it more than likely will fail. ... you could try RE-installing it, then: ... "start control panel, add/Remove programs" ... blah blah ya! Grrrr wat do I know? ... got brain freeze

Reply: (edit)Downloaded Superantispyware and looks like, fingers crossed that this has removed the problem. Have AVG Internet Security, but this did not stop this virus getting into my computer or remove it. Thanks for all everyones help. Thanks. Paul
