Comment:

i've just reinstalled windows xp pro, and now, everytime i start my comp, it always asks me to choose between,
Windows XP Professional
Windows XP Professional Setup
and it gives me 3 seconds to choose.
is there a way to not let me ask that so that it goes straight to the desktop.

Go into BIOS and set boot sequence to a, c, cdrom. Also go to run, type command, at the prompt type bootconfig /? (note the space after g). ENTER bootconfig /? You will get a list of options.
If I remember right, to set timeout, you type bootconfig /timeout / and put time in seconds after the last forward slash.
If you set the boot sequence as I said tho, you should boot directly into XP.
