Having a major problem with Winlogon.exe and 100% CPU usage. System runs fine until I try running a 3d app (Serious Sam 2 game demo in this case). After random amount of time the game slows to a crawl, so slow that it seems frozen. When I have been able to get back to desktop and look at task manager, winlogon.exe is taking up 100% CPU. Otherwise my system has been fine. Anybody else had this problem? I have current McAfee virus scan and a trojan remover but they have found nothing. Could winlogon and the 3d subsystem not like each other??

Thanks in advance

If you have fast user switching turned on, try turning that off.

Also try increasing the time that the screensaver kicks in or disable it when playing your 3D games.
