Came back from holiday, started pc and after while xp message poops up saying pc needs to shut down due to failure in the Remote Procedure Call. Also says it is shut down by NTAUTHORITY/SYSTEM. I cant stop this message and have to reboot over and over again. So I traced it with ctrl alt del to winlogon.exe but I can't do anything about it...
Anyone has a clue here? If needed I can give the exact message, but I only got like 1 minute before it shuts down....

After the BIOS screen gets done, right before Windows starts to boot, press F8 and then login under Safe Mode. Then poke around you system and try to find out what was installed, or had been changed between the last two shutdowns (the one right before you left for the holiday).
Not really enough info to tell you much more, except to look through the Event Viewer log files and look back to when you got home and see what's been erroring out....
