Hi:

This involves a customer's PC who has complained of sluggish performance. While examining the system, here is what I observed --

When exiting an MS Office application (Word, eg) with modifications that I do not want to save, a dialog box appears asking if I wish to "save the changes..." At the same time, WINLOGON.exe startes using 99 - 100% of CPU time. This continues for about a minute or more following the acknowledgement of the message and the termination of the Office program. The result is a severe performance hit. I suspect this occurs at other points too, causing a chronic bogg down.

The PC is a member of a W2K3 domain.

The system has Microsoft Antispyware and Symantec Antivirus (Corporate) with all current definitions, plus all the recent Windows Updates.

Anyone have an idea what's causing this?

Thanks!!
