winfirewall in task list

Trying to find out what winfirewall is. Could not open task manager or msconfig or hardware device properties while this file was in memory. Was able to end this task by copying taskmgr.exe to taskmgr2.exe and running taskmgr2. Once I end task on winfirewall, i am able to use the normal task manager, msconfig, etc.

It could be all sorts of things. If that's an .exe file try searching your computer for the file and see where it lives. It's probably a firewall software application such as Symantec Firewall....
