Did you do this in Safe Mode...

Click Start > Run.
Type regedit

Then click OK.

Navigate to the key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

In the right pane, delete any value that refers to the file detected as Adware.WinFetch.

Exit the Registry Editor.

Restart the computer in Normal mode.

Delete the index.dat file.

You'll have to set the folder properties to show hidden files.

I did an explorer search and nothing came up. I thought you are not supposed to delete the index file.

Youcan deletethe indexfile. Windows will automatically rebuild it the next time it opens.

Remember, it might be listed under content.ie5
