WinDVD XP Vaio Software Conflicts?

CPU/Ram: Sony Vaio Pent. 4 80 gigs

I have Windows Media Player for Windows XP Home. I also have DVD Express Player that came with this Sony Vaio. My question is, Will it cause any type of minor or major havoc to download WinDVD4 to my computer?

It shouldn't. You'll just have to set what you want to be the default player. WinDVD should ask you if you want to make it the default player for DVD's.
