WinDVD MFC error in XP

Can someone also send me the XP patch b/c I couldn't finded anywhere on Intervideo website. Also, I have a problem with Windvd. Everytime i start the program it cause a MFC application error and shuts down. Does anyone know how to resolve this problem. Someone once told me to delete some .dll file and it fixed the problem...but I can't remember which file it is anymore...Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hehe! I actually got it to work! I had a dvd in the drive and I guess it was corrupt and every time the program started, it tried to read the disk. It would then fail with the mfc error. Took the disk out, the program finally started, works great. Hope this helps!

I have the same problem and taking out the disk and then reloading brought up the program but I then got the same error message. Can anyone help please. Thanks, Ian

Seems like i'm not the only one with this problem. Thing is my PowerDvd trialware works so it has to be a WinDvd problems. Any solutions ? Thanks, keith

I got the same error. It was working before until I installed a new Nvidia GeForce 4 MX graphic card on my computer. I checked on Intervideo’s website FAQs (www.intervideo.com/support/windvd/graphic chipsets/) and my new video card wasn’t on their compatible list, but my old card GeForce 2 was. I wonder if this has to do with compatibility. Please help.
