For the 2. time in a short periode my winXP cant start because the the windows/system folder gets corroupt. I think the 1. time was because of a virus called Geebeewin32 or something like that. But this 2. time im pretty sure it is not a virus. I have been messing with my ram, changing the DRAM cycle setting in the bios. I have also discovered that there is a hardware error in my ram (with the help of MemTest). Can it be the RAM?
My computer:
AMD K6 thunderbird 1000mzh
512mb sdram pc-100
SB live
Voodoo3
2 matrox hardisk (one with 2 partions)
DVD and a CD burner

please help me, I lose everything when this happen.

Subject: Windows/system folder corroupt
To me it means that some system files are corrupt or missing. This is ease to fix.
START
RUN
type CMD
OK
after Command prompt type
sfc /scannow
the original XP CD must be inserted.
This wil replace all missing or corrupted system files.
Cheers de Peter
