hi, i had to reinstall windows after having some trouble with my pc. when i install i was doing this fast and i did'nt noticed that it was set to install windows on my d: drive, when it was suppose to be on my C: drive, so the result is now i have 2 windows on my pc and i dont know how to delete the one on my d: drive, i cannot format it cause i got about 80 gig of stuff on it..

someone have a idea?

Reinstall it on your C: drive. Then, make sure you boot into C: drive. You will know when it first load up, since it doesnt have device drivers installed.

Then, browse to D: drive and delete any Windows installation files.

Then, use msconfig to delete the d: windows xp from boot up menu. Do a check boot path in msconfig and it will automatically fix it for you.

Consider doing nothing.

If you must remove stuff then do a full backup or other means to secure your data.

Then determine how you wish to repair. Are there programs that you need or can it be a clean install.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.

i done that, i reinstall, on c and when i load up i got a boot menu asking me which windows i wanna boot, c or d, i open a session with the new install on the c and then try to delete the the windows folder on d, but when i try to delete it , it stays there, i try by removing the read only option, no luck.....
