i disable my plug and play because of security now wonder if i should have not having any problems as yet but wondering if i should install it back, what is the function of plug and play and if i need it how do i install it back on thanks you all are great connie

First I hope it was universal plug and play you disabled, and if so you will probably never need it. You just turn it back on if you find you do need it.

how do i turn my plug and play back on and i don't know if it's the right one or not. I don't know if it's the universal one. thanks connie

control panel/administrative tools/services
left click to see a description of the service....right click/properties...change the start up to manual or automatic or disable.......the universal one should present no problem if disabled that I know of

reboot for changes to take effect
