I recently installed a game along with Alcohol 120. During the game installation, it instaleld directX9.0b, which i may have already had if it came standard with Windows XP. It said the computer had to restart after the installation, but now I cant even get back in to windows. It keeps giving me the blue screen of death and saying that new hardware or software may not be porperly insalled, and to remove or disable them, but I dont no how since I cant even get into windows. It says to disable some BIOS memory options, which I also dont know how to do. When I try to start in safe mode, it prints the following line many times: mullti(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)WINDOWS\System32\ then all different files here and some mullti(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)WINDOWS\System32\drivers\different files In he technical info it says the error is with the file Cdr4_xp.sys. If anyone knows how to fix this or even load windows, it would be greatly appreciated because i need to access a document I wrote for school. PLEASE HELP!!

Try booting into safe mode tap the f8 key when you turn pc on and choose safe mode if that does not work then try last known good configuration. If you can get into safe mode go to msconfig and launch system restore to a date before yo u installed those programs.
