I have a verbatim 481248a cd r-w drive.it is configured as the master (d) drive as directed by the instructions. im useing nero 5.5 as the burning software.but windows xp won't recognize verbatim or any other writable disks.it has worked in the past but suddenly stoped.

hello
have a look in device manager any problems?
try removing it from device manager reboot?
try going to burner maker sight and d/l drivers.
