Comment: Problem: Windows XP does not automatically shut itself down. Has to manually press the power button. Any suggestions to allow it to do so?

Reply: (edit)You need to enable Advanced Power Management. Right-click desktop, properties, screensaver, power options, APM, and check the box. Now it should be okay. Hope this helped.
