I recently upgraded from windows ME to the home version of windows XP. My problem is that I cannot find and/or open the temporary internet file to drag of the AVI clips I wish to retain and store in a file of my choice. The TIF only shows up in the disc clean-up window where it can't be touched.
Any ideas out there?

Had this problem as well trying to find the temporary internet files folder. This is how you find it.
Firstly, make sure you can see the hidden folders on the system. To do this, you need to click on Tools from any Explorer bar window, select Folder Options. Click on the View tab and locate 'Hidden Files And Folders'. Select 'Show Hidden Files And Folders' and click Apply.
Then, to access your temporary internet files:
1. My Computer > 'C' drive.
2. From the 'C' drive, open the folder 'Documents & Settings'.
3. Depending how you're logged on, select the relevant user folder.
4. Then go into the folder 'Local Settings'.
5. You'll see the Temporary Internet Files folder where you can extract your AVIs.

Bobs,
Followed your advice and all's well.
I found the TIF and for convenience moved
it to C/Windows/Temp where I have direct
access. Checked it out, it's working
fine. Thanks a heap.
Arie
