Having problems with the file SVCHOST.exe on my computer when I start up my computer and open things such as web browsers and email clients it will max the cpu with SVCHOST.exe in the task manager and crash my internet explorer, msn, outlook etc... I can not understand why it does this? It is not spyware or viruses already did loads of scans etc.. I can end the SVCHOST.exe process and it works again but I shouldnt have to keep doing that all the time???
(By the way the file name is not all in caps.)

below is a download link for "svcSession Viewer". this may help you to find the 'perp'.

Today's subliminal thought is: 'Calm down ... it's only ones and zeros.'

Here is a temporary fix from MS.
"Step 1: KB 927891. Download the fix from Knowledge Base article 927891 (this link is for Windows XP machines) and install it first.
• Step 2: WSUS 3.0 client. Next, install the WSUS 3.0 client update. An MSDN article on this update is available in Microsoft's MSDN library. A link to the executable is contained near the very bottom of that article, or you can download the executable using this link. (There is no easy download page at Microsoft yet, because this fix has just come out.)"
I have not tried it as I am not having the problem and prefer to wait for MS's permanent fix which is due out any time now.
