i been messing with this board for the longest now, and i getting really ticked off.. i dont have money any left to buy another board, i wish i never bought this one..

first i getting alot stop error starting with this one
0x0000004E = my memory is fine i send back to the company for testing and turn good.
OxOOOOOO8D = during secound part of the setup
0x0000000A = most of the times but the 0x0000004E happends every time run windows xp setup..

my thing is i was able to install windows 98, windows me without single error..
if was my memory or video card or any of my device i should have some error as well with the OS's. i even played game fine on windows 98se.
i dont know what else to do, if RMA the board again i am going to get the same crappy board. i think is the bios causing the headaches.

anyone has suggestion or idea what to change in the bios ? before i fling this board out the window (not including cpu or other devices :) )

have you ever tried a diff video card??
most of the stops in xp loads are video related.
is your xp an oem version or a copy??
try a diff cd-rom itself. sometimes they won't read xp properly

It is not impossible that XP may have some issues with that Mobo.

However there are somethings you might consider.

1.Install XP as a full version not as an upgrade.

2.Run XP's Upgrade Advisor to be sure you do not overlook something that can be avoided.

3.Disable all peripherals when you run the installation.

4.If eventually you have to "frisbee" the mobo avoid hitting a bystander to avoid getting sued. ;~)

well i pay for windows xp pro SP1 school discount. and i am using my cd burner HP.. but the thing is the same hardware i use on another board , i was able install XP withn no problem. but i cant say is the board because really if it was than i would not be able to install any os at all..

throwing the board out the window is starting become true. getting close, if i dont find a solution to this board, is going out the window from 30 floors.
