Can anyone here help me please? Any help will be greatly appriciated.

I am using Windows XP SP2, but I don't know what build it is.

My rpoblem:
Windows XP suddenly started asking me to reactivate. I have no idea why. When I clicked "Yes" on the dialog to reactivate, it said Windows was already activated. When I clicked "No", it would carry on as normal. But then the 7 days ran out. Now, when I start my PC, the following sequence occurs:
1. Windows boots up
2. The Welcome screen appears
3. The screen goes black for a few seconds
4. The computer reboots and the whole sequence starst again.

This error happens on every mode that I start Windows in, be it Safe Mode, Normally or Debugging Mode.

When I press F8, I also have the option to disable rebooting on system failure. When I do this, the screen goes blue with the folowing error message:

STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000005 (0x00000000 0x00000000)
The system has been shut down

I have tried inserting the Windows XP CD but it won't boot from the CD.

Any help is greatly appriciated.

Thanks in advance

Sorry, I've already tried them. I couldn't find anything relevant to my problem. They are all similar, but the ones i looked at were all fixed by just reinstalling XP, but mine isn't reading the disc.

I have exactly similar problem. Is this some deadly virus or what? Can someone pls help???

It happened yesterday night when I was browsing for something and had almost

like 15 internet explorer open at a time so the speed became slow and all of

them got freezed. And suddendly the computer shutdown and when it restarted

again, it just shows the windows initial screen and restarts again. It is not

turning the computer on in any mode like normal, safemode, dos prompt.

Whatever option u select it just keeps restarting. Can someone help

urgently?? Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem. I was surfing the net, turned off the computer, went bacj the next day, and had all kinds of alarms from spybot about attempts to make registry changes involving the Windows Task Manager, along with some ad-ware applications like ypup???.exe or something. I tried to kill the messages, run the spybot program etc, but nothing worked. I ran out of time. I shut down, returned the next day, and now I just get the blue screen as follows, and a reboot.

0xc000021a
Windows Logon Process System Process Terminated Unexpectedly
0xc0000005

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

What kind of websites were you looking at? Were they the kind that would give you spyware and such?

Col: The reason you can't boot from the CD is because the boot order probably has the harddrive in front of it. Go into your BIOS and look around and see if you can find something about boot order. If you do, change it so that the CD-rom drive is first. That should get the CD to boot.

For the rest of you, I can't imagine why it would happen specifically after using the internet. This sort of thing happens when you make a major hardware change (MS thinks that you're trying to use it on 2 computers) but it doesn't make you restart infintely like you guys have been saying. I'll do a little poking around to see if I can find anything.
