When I start the computer, I get the following error message:
Windows cannot find 'C:\Program'. Make sure that you have typed it correctly and then try again.
Is there a file that contains the name of the
program that Windows is looking for, so that
I can fix this problem.Thanks,
Tom

Windows cannot find 'C:\Program' ,,
is there more to this path ?
i.e C:\windows\options\setup.exeall i can see by the message is the whole program files has vanished "unless theres not enough space to display whole file path that is missing" friend's comp done same kind of thing it turnt out to be modem change caused this"
the way i found problem, was ,
disable things in start up 1 at a time,
i.e disable MSN restart if problem still there , enable i.e msn and disable next thing in list. 1 at a time ,,, when error fails to display you will know thats the cause..however,, to stop modem displaying startup message, i had to remove main DIR (left after it was deleted) also most VITAL was the reg key, after this was removed every error stoped..
its just an idea hope it helps
good luck

try this one, start--->run-->type "msconfig" and choose the startup tab and uncheck the files u specified. restart the system. Afterwards u have a prob like this type services.msc in the run window and search the files u specified and try to disable the files.
