I have the same problem with sonicstage and windows xp except it gives me an error message when I try to burn a cd from mp3's. If you find a solution or reason for the problem email me, or call me at (917) 361-4294

I recently purchased a Sony Vaio rx650 and I had trouble figuring out how to burn a CD with SonicStage. If you go to the Help menu in SonicStage it gives you step-by-step detailed instructions on how to burn a CD. You have to record a CD onto the playlist before you can record it onto a CD-R or CD-RW.

How the heck do you specify the area to save the data? Want to put it all on an external hard drive but even the spot in the options where it says to Set Location for converted EMD file won't change it. Grrrr.

I just want to add my 2 cents to the SonicStage woes:

I have a Sony Vaio FX210 with WinXP operating system.

Why won't it recognise my external CD-RW drive (Yamaha 16x4x4) as a place to "transfer" files to? It quite happly and efficiently uses the drive to copy files from and record them into SonicStage.

Any ideas gratefully appreciated.
