Windows XP shutdown problem with ATX

I have upgraded to Win XP professional from Win 98. I have pentium 4 with ATX power supply. In win98, when i shut down it there was not "Its' now safe to turn off your computer" screen. And It stops ATX power supply automatically. But in Windows XP professional the "It's now safe to turn off your computer" screen splashes. And there is not auto off for ATX power supply and i must maually turn it dowm. Please help me!
