Specs: Windows XP, Q6600/4.00 GB PC8500
Okay I just formatted my computers hard drive and I am trying to boot from the CD. When I try that, It reads the CD and it does nothing, but blink the cursor. I tried hitting F8 and boot exclusively to the cd, but still the same thing. I know the CD isn't bad because I used it on other computers and it worked. The motherboard is ASUS P5Q Deluxe and I tried a Sony and a Lite-On CD Rom Drive and still the same problem.

Whats the problem? Please Help.

Have you set boot priority in bios to boot CD first?

The F8 boot options are used when an operating system has already been installed.
