|Did you install your graphic card drivers? If you have you may have to enter your graphic card control panel, in my case nvidia control panel. On mine I have a scaling setting found under "adjust desktop size and position". If I have my scaling set a certain way it leaves me with a small desktop screen. It only occurs if I change my resolution by right clicking blank area of desktop, select properties, settings tab. If I change my resolution from 1024x768 to 800x600 I will actually get a small desktop screen than the norm of just getting larger icons, taskbar and system tray. If I change the resolution instead in the graphic control panel I get the norm of getting larger icons etc . To make the right click option of changing the resolution work that same I had to change scaling to "use nvidia scaling". Now my desktop is always the size of my monitor's screen at a lower resolution at least.|
I didn't know that this occurred on my own computer till I read your posting. Hope that this is the solution to your problem as well.
