Hello again. You guys were very helpful last time, i'm hoping you can help me again :)

I've been searching the forums, and i can't seem to find someone with a similar problem to mine. If you can find it, please feel free to post a link to it.

I'm working on redoing my computer. I just finished reinstalling windows, so it's a totally clean comp. On top of this, i don't mind wiping it again, so hopefully this problem will be easy to fix.

When i reinstalled windows XP, I wasn't able to format my Hardrive to how large it actually was. On top of this, now that i'm in Windows, it says my harddrive is only about 180 GB, when i know for a fact it's 1 TB. I remember encountering this problem before, so hopefully it's an easy fix. I'm looking for a way to get the other 820ish GB out of my hard drive.

Thank you in advance!

Sounds like your Windows CD is an older one (pre SP1). Large boot partitions weren't supported until SP1 and later so you end up with a partition much smaller than your drive's capacity.

This article does a pretty good job of explaining what you're experiencing. It details how to change the partition size after installing Windows. It also touches on creating a new Windows CD with SP3 already installed using a process called slipstreaming.
