Windows XP Restore Disk

I've just purchased a new computer with Windows XP Pro on it and the only software that came with it is a restore disks, it has XP on it along with all the other junk, is there a way to pull the XP off, and do a fresh install without all the other programs.

The recovery media you have with your computer should give you the option just to install Windows on its own. Otherwise the only other way would be to search for the I386 folder and run winnt from the cd.

YOU CAN UNINSTALL ALL THE OTHER JUNK PROGRAMS IN WINDOWS XP!!! To uninstall go to Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs! Here you can choose the programs you want to uninstall including uninstalling the software and even some of the junky windows xp compnents!!!
