Just a question, does anyone know how to cancel a windows xp repair once it's been started? The only info i can find is how to cancel an upgrade from ME, 98 etc. I have lots of crap PC's to deal with, and a lot of the time windows repair crashes, leaving me in a deep pit of despair. Thanks

Whew, that's a tough question. The best answer I can give you would be to NOT cancel the repair. Let it run it's course then reinstall all service packs and updates.
I've always had better luck doing an in-place upgrade to xp as opposed to a repair if you can even boot into windows in the first place.

Yeah, thats not the problem. That would be cool. The problem is that i want to cancel a repair that has crashed, repeatedly. It's a catalogue error(i know all the usual ways to fix it, i get it because i don't have the windows upgrade disk), or some other error, that i can't get around. Every time i start windows it just goes to the setup, and crashes at the same place. The only way i can get round it is to install a new copy of windows, and transfer the information across. Obviously this isn't the best option, but i can't find a way to get around the windows setup. any suggestions?
