Comment:

Hi everyone,
I am trying to use a net command to remotely
shutdown and reboot windows xp machines, such as "shutdown -r -m \\computername ".
When I try this, I get an error "Access is denied." I run the command as administrator and all of the machines have the same administrator password and are on the same domain. (I can log into the machines using remote desktop connection for example).
Any ideas how to fix this? Is there some
service I need to start? All I am wanting to do is reboot windows xp machines every night.

thanks,
Rob

You can do the Search and Support
and type in "remote reboot" and it will
come back with "SC".
This is where you want to have a look.
