Comment: I just recently bought a new hd and reinstalled windows. Now every time I start the computer, windows goes through the end of the setup again. It asks if I want to register, to choose a user name, etc. How do I get it to stop and just go straight to the logon? I did this step before and obviously don't need to do it again.

Reply: (edit)You shouldn't ignore activating your copy of XP. If you don't do anything to activate (register) within 30 days, your XP will cease to function. i_XpUser
