i want to know if it would be a good idea to put windows xp pro on my computer. i would also like to know of any problems like system lag or stuff like that. here my specs:

It will run, and it will run smoothly; but it's not going to be as quick a machine as it was with Win9xMe on it.

All your hardware looks to be natively supported except the modem--there are 3rd-party drivers available for it, though.

Hi looks fine to me

it will run pretty fast if not you can disable the fancy menus to improve performance.

GO for home edition unless you need to logon to a domain
